Slip-stitch colorwork is delightfully straightforward to work and creates such a lovely effect. I'm smitten.
These are the larger of the two sizes provided in the pattern Burning Leaves. The yarn is Malabrigo Rios in Cirrus Gray and Ankara Green (which both read as blues to my eye, oddly), left over from the brioche hat I now wear constantly. Love this color combination--and also the inverted effect of switching the main and contrast colors in the two mitts, my spouse's idea. In addition to looking cool, the swap made the second mitt more fun to work. |
